Did the Dallas Cowboys get some lessons from the New England Patriots this past offseason on how to prepare for divisional opponents?
Sam Bradford and the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense were downright horrible against the Cowboys on Sunday. DeMarco Murray rushed for two yards on 13 carries — yes, you read that right — against his former team, and just about nothing Chip Kelly threw at Dallas worked. According to Eagles wide receiver Josh Huff, one of the reasons for that is that the Cowboys knew what was coming.
Josh Huff said that when he lined up near Dallas sideline, there were times when he heard Cowboys calling out Eagles plays pre-snap.

At Oregon, Kelly’s offense was so fast-paced that it was almost impossible for opponents to keep up. For the most part, it probably didn’t matter if defenses knew what was coming. In the NFL, teams are much faster and more intelligent. It certainly seemed as though the Cowboys knew every time Murray was going to get the ball.
Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson summed up his team’s loss to Dallas perfectly. If Philly continues to struggle, Kelly will find himself planted firmly on the hot seat. That will especially be true if defenses are figuring out what he’s going to run before he runs it.
