Jimmy Graham on Friday acknowledged that he is frustrated, but he says that is because his Seattle Seahawks are 0-2, not because of his lack of stats.
Graham spoke with the media and was asked about about reports saying that he is frustrated with his role and p—ed off with the team. He said he wasn’t sure where those reports came from considering he hasn’t talked to the media, but he did say he is frustrated.
“I was in [the locker room], for the time I needed to be and then I went to the shower. I’m not really sure where all these articles started, especially because I said nothing to nobody. Usually I figure to write stories, you’ve got to have some type of source, which should be me, and it certainly wasn’t,” Graham said. “I like to win and I hate to lose. Frustration comes because we’re 0-2 and we’re a lot better than that.”
Graham, who has six catches and one touchdown through two games — both losses — also acknowledged that the Seahawks are a running team, not one that throws it 60 times again similar to what he was used to with the Saints. He pointed out that sometimes plays were called for him or he was open but things didn’t work out.
Graham said his relationship/chemistry with quarterback Russell Wilson is “growing” and “progressing” each week. That seems to go along with what Wilson said about their relationship.
At least nobody is fooling around in this situation; both Graham and Pete Carroll have acknowledged that the tight end is frustrated. The question is whether that’s because of his lack of a role or the team’s record. It’s probably both, even if he says it’s just because of the losses.
