The latest addition to the Northwestern men’s basketball team might have you exclaiming “get out!” in disbelief.
Yes, Charlie Hall, the son of actors Brad Hall and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, has made the Northwestern basketball team as a walk-on. Louis-Dreyfus is best known for her role as Elaine on “Seinfeld” and most recently Selina Meyer on “Veep.”
The team’s SID welcomed Hall to the program via Twitter Wednesday:
Welcome to new @NUMensBball walk-on Charlie Hall. Yada, yada, yada…you might know his mother. http://t.co/S6qLrNTEpr http://pic.twitter.com/ks0XE8hmdp

Hall is a freshman from Los Angeles and played high school ball at Crossroads School, the same private school in LA that produced Baron Davis. Both of his parents attended Northwestern.
According to his profile on the Wildcats’ website, Hall averaged 15.3 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists per game as a senior for Crossroads, earning first-team all league and second-team All-CIF honors. The 6-foot-5 forward also played volleyball for his high school.
Hopefully his college athletic career lasts longer than that of another famous person’s son.
Here is a highlight video of the lefty. He has a pretty sweet stroke:
