The start of the St. Louis Rams-Pittsburgh Steelers game was delayed on Sunday after a section of the field turf at the Edward Jones Dome briefly caught fire and needed to be extinguished.
Apparently there was a pyrotechnics malfunction during pregame introductions. Fire extinguishers were needed to put the flames out before stadium workers tried to vacuum up the mess. Here’s a video:

Both teams headed back to the locker room while the turf was being tended to.
You would think something like this would happen in Arizona, given the warning sign we recently saw at a football stadium there. Although, that was a Mother Nature thing. This is more human error.
