St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Stephen Piscotty was carted off the field at PNC Park in Pittsburgh on Monday after colliding with teammate Peter Bourjos while trying to catch a ball in the gap.
The Pirates’ Josh Harrison drove a ball into the left-center gap to lead off the bottom of the seventh, and it was between Piscotty and Bourjos. Piscotty dove for the ball and went head-first into Bourjos’ knee. Bourjos made the catch and immediately signaled to the trainers to come examine and help Piscotty.
For those who didn't see the Piscotty collision (copyright is MLB's). Very difficult to watch. Use discretion. http://pic.twitter.com/CTAY4eDRVx
