Comedian Chris Rock is the latest to weigh-in on the Washington Redskins’ logo, and he also has some thoughts on their treatment of Robert Griffin III.
The native New Yorker, who is actually a Jets fan, was watching Thursday’s game between the ‘Skins and New York Giants and decided to send a tweet about the Redskins’ logo and backup QB.
I don't know what's more racist . There logo or there treatment of RG3 http://pic.twitter.com/aI2zoSHow0

He then admitted calling RG3 a racist is an overstatement but still rallied for the team to cut the quarterback:
@RaiderACE562 okay maybe racist is an overstatement but just cut the guy why humiliate the guy.

It’s hard to disagree with Rock on both accounts. Yes, the depiction in the team logo and nickname is racist. And yes, the team should just release Griffin already. Why would you turn a former franchise QB and Heisman Trophy winner into your scout team defensive back? Let him get a fresh start elsewhere already.
