Marcell Dareus: ‘Nobody likes the Patriots’

The Buffalo Bills are doing everything in their power to get under the skin of Patriots players before their game against New England Sunday afternoon.

Marcell Dareus, who recently signed a six-year, $108 million extension with the Bills, did not hold back on Tuesday when discussing his team’s upcoming opponent.

“Don’t nobody likes the Patriots,” Dareus said, per Mike Rodak of ESPN.com. “Let’s just be honest about it now. Put it out there.”

The opinion is shared throughout Buffalo’s locker room. Safety Aaron Williams said Sunday’s game will be “personal” for him due to his disdain for the defending champions.

“I don’t like New England, so yeah it’s definitely personal for me,” Williams said. “That’s just the way I feel. They’re a great football team. Don’t get that twisted at all. That’s why they’re the four-time NFL champs.

“Just the way they carry themselves on the field and stuff. All the stuff that has happened to me in the past with some of the players has definitely gone through the roof for me. That’s a reason it’s personal for me and they’re our rival. It’s the history. So it’s not just personal. It’s the Buffalo Bills’ history.”

When Rex Ryan first became the head coach of the New York Jets in 2009, he immediately brought a culture of trash talking with him. If you read what Ryan said about a certain Patriots running back earlier this week, you know that he is taking the same approach in Buffalo.

Sunday can’t come soon enough for the AFC East rivals.
