Kliff Kingsbury was plenty proud of his team for going on the road and beating Arkansas Saturday. He was especially pleased to hand Bret Bielema a loss.
Bielema has been talking a big game lately. Not only did he rip on Ohio State’s schedule last week, but he also gloated about his team’s bowl win over Texas. None of that was lost on Kingsbury, who had some harsh words for the Hogs coach.
“That’s a program that prides themselves on being physical. At the Texas high school coaches convention this summer, he stood up and said if you don’t play with a fullback, we’ll kick your a–. If you throw it 70 times a game we’ll kick your a–. He just got his a– kicked twice in a row and probably next week by A&M as well, so that did feel good,” Kingsbury said after the game.
Kingsbury’s teams like to throw the ball a lot, while Bielema likes to run it, so having his team win 35-24 was a statement for Texas Tech and passing offenses.
We know Kingsbury enjoyed the victory, so I’ve got one question for you, Kliff: Was beating Bielema “borderline erotic“?
