Floyd Mayweather Jr. appears to have a nice career lined up for after he’s done boxing.
Mayweather reiterated on a conference call Wednesday that his Sept. 12 fight against Andre Berto will be his last. He and his manager also say that a movie career could be calling.
Mayweather’s manager Leonard Ellerbe said on the call that Mayweather has received three “major” movie offers in the last week. It’s unclear if each of those offers are for him to act or be behind the scenes, but Mayweather shared his preference.
“I’ve been approached on numerous occasions (to act) but I’d rather be behind the scenes. I’ve had my time to shine,” Mayweather said.
Mayweather can improve to 49-0 with a victory. He would go down as the second major fighter in history to retire with a perfect record if he is able to beat Berto and walk away from the sport. And if he transitions into showbiz after his fight career, then that would be another arena where he can compete with Ronda Rousey.
