Wife of Redskins GM Scot McCloughan allegedly accuses reporter of affair with husband

A now-deleted Twitter account purportedly belonging to the wife of Washington Redskins GM Scot McCloughan went rogue with various accusations, including one that a reporter is having an affair with her husband, resulting in her obtaining scoops.

The information about the Twitter account comes to us via Black Sports Online. The Twitter account had the handle “RutherChevy,” and the name on the profile was “Mrs. McCloughan.” BSO cites a tweet from Scot McCloughan’s son Caden to RutherChevy, as well a tweet from the wife of another Redskins official to RutherChevy as evidence that the account is legit.

Dawn Marie is the wife of Redskins video director Mike Bracken. Caden is McCloughan’s 16-year-old son from his first wife.

So what we have here are two tweets to a private account that seems to confirm it is a legit Twitter account. The name on the account combined with the photo also point to it belonging to McCloughan’s wife.

Now here come the explosive parts.

At two times in August, the “RutherChevy” account sent tweets accusing reporter Dianna Marie Russini of having an affair with her husband and getting scoops in exchange.

That’s the RutherChevy account accusing Russini of being McCloughan’s new “side chick” and saying the relationship is “confirmed.”

The RutherChevy account has now been deleted, but BSO was able to grab those screenshots before it went away.

Here’s what we know about McCloughan. The former 49ers GM and later Seahawks exec was hired by the Redskins in January. He met his now wife Jess through a friend who worked out at the gym she managed in Colorado. Her Facebook account indicates they were married this year. McCloughan was previously married to wife Kelli, with whom he had three kids. His alcoholism led to a divorce with her.

You can debate whether or not you think the account is real — I think it is. You can also debate whether her accusations are true or not. Those seem to be more baseless. We do know that Russini was getting Redskins scoops last year, long before McCloughan was hired by the team in January. I’m pretty sure her sources were already solid before McCloughan came into the picture, Jess.
