Peyton Manning takes embarrassing phantom sack against Chiefs (Video)

Peyton Manning sack

Peyton Manning has had obvious issues with his diminishing arm strength over his past several games, but that’s not the only area where his play is lacking. Manning also seems to have some questionable pocket presence.

The Broncos quarterback took a phantom sack in the first quarter of Thursday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs:

That was one of two sacks he took in the first half of the game.

You really have to wonder what was going on in his mind on that play. Maybe he felt the pocket collapsing and just decided to make sure he protected the ball and his body. Regardless, that’s not what you want to see out of your quarterback. At least he did break the longest streak of his career without a touchdown pass when he hit Emmanuel Sanders for a score in the second quarter.
