How’s this for a harsh punishment?
The New York Islanders sent prospect Josh Ho-Sang back to the OHL after he was late to the first day of the team’s training camp, Newsday’s Arthur Staple reports.
Making matters more confounding is that Staple says Ho-Sang’s behavior had been “exemplary” up to this point:

Ho-Sang is a top prospect who was drafted in the first round by the Isles last year. The talented forward recorded 81 points in 60 OHL games last season and 85 points in 67 games three seasons ago. The Isles even had plans for him to play on the same line with John Tavares.
Ho-Sang has acknowledged he is an emotional and outspoken player and thought that turned teams off from drafting him. He even got into it with Hockey Canada after not being invited to the national team camp.
