Jim Tomsula has had more real-world experience than any coach or player in the NFL.
The San Francisco 49ers surprised a national television audience in Tomsula’s head coaching debut Monday night, dismantling the favored Minnesota Vikings by a score of 20-3. And during the broadcast, we learned more than we could ever dream of about the man behind the play sheet.
In addition to coaching football, Tomsula has held jobs that include firewood cutter, doormat salesman and much, much more. The 47-year-old has been around the block and back. If you watched this interview from earlier this year, you may have thought he was a boring guy. No, no he is not.
