Jameis Winston’s NFL career is off and running! Off and running the other way, that is.
Sunday’s game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tennessee Titans proved a compelling one with the professional debuts of Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota (the No. 1 and No. 2 overall picks in this year’s NFL Draft) coming against one another. And while Mariota dazzled on his opening drive with a 52-yard strike to Kendall Wright for a touchdown, Winston’s was well…noticeably less successful.
The Florida State product dropped back, faced some pressure on the outside from the Titans pass rush, and uncorked his first career throw. It was a complete duck as Tennessee cornerback Coty Sensabaugh jumped Adam Humphries’ route and took it to the house for an easy pick-six.

Well, at least Famous Jameis can match Mariota in terms of creating touchdowns for the Titans. Maybe this will get Mike Evans to change his mind.
