Johnny Manziel will not play in the Cleveland Browns’ preseason game on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because of a sore elbow.
Browns head coach Mike Pettine told the media Wednesday that Manziel is dealing with soreness in his elbow, so they are going to be cautious with it. The injury does not appear to be anything serious, and it is something Manziel has been dealing with since high school:
#Browns Pettine said Manziel had an MRI. He said there was nothing structural. "He's been dealing with it since high school.''

Manziel went 10-of-18 for 118 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 of the preseason against the Bills. He scrambled for 19 yards as well. Manziel went 7-of-11 for 42 yards in the team’s first preseason game and rushed for a touchdown. His competition for the starting job — Josh McCown — threw two interceptions and no touchdowns against the Bills.
