You can say a lot of negative things about Floyd Mayweather Jr., but the one thing he will never sit back and listen to is someone questioning his bank account. Because of that, the ongoing feud between Mayweather and Ronda Rousey rages on.
Earlier this week, Rousey fired more shots at Mayweather when she pointed out that she makes more money than him per second with her fights. She also made fun of his poor reading skills. On Thursday, Mayweather defended the image of The Money Team in a statement through TMZ Sports.
“Big bank take little bank. Let’s play and see how much money you got,” Floyd said. “Last time I checked I was #1 on Forbes. She will never be at my status. Keep trying to get publicity.”
Mayweather is right. Even if Rousey becomes as big of a movie star as she wants to be, she will probably never have as much money as Floyd. Most people can’t match what he has.
Obviously, both Mayweather and Rousey are enjoying their ongoing war of words. This all started a little over a year ago when Floyd claimed to have no idea who the UFC women’s bantamweight champion was. Since then, Rousey has taken multiple shots at Mayweather over his history of domestic violence. Floyd could have been trying to squash the beef with these recent comments, but Rousey wants it to continue. She got her wish.
