The New England Patriots won their fourth championship in the last 13 years roughly six months ago, but that does not mean it has been a relaxing offseason for Tom Brady. There have been rumors that the Deflategate saga and other personal issues have put a strain on Brady’s marriage. As we all know, rumors aren’t always true.
According to several sources that People Magazine spoke to, Brady and Gisele Bundchen have had plenty of arguments in recent months (don’t all couples?) but their marriage is not in trouble.
“This summer was just a bit different,” a friend of Bundchen’s reportedly said. “Gisele had a lot going on, so they weren’t always in the same place at the same time.”
Others describe Brady as “moody” and claim he has made Gisele feel left out by focusing on his football career. Cherynne Montanero, the girlfriend of Patriots defensive tackle Chandler Jones, says Brady and Gisele “absolutely” have a good relationship and their social media posts indicating as much are not just for show.
“They have a good relationship,” Montanero told People. “They seem to have found the balance of having a family and then having a career.”
Perhaps the most bizarre wrinkle in the alleged Brady-Bundchen drama was that photo that showed Ben Affleck’s nanny wearing Brady’s four Super Bowl rings. Brady and Affleck reportedly went to Las Vegas together for a charity poker tournament, and the nanny came along. That may have added more strain to the issues Affleck has been having with Jennifer Garner.
In any event, another gossip report well over a year ago indicated that Brady’s marriage to Gisele was on the rocks. We wouldn’t read too much into any of it.
