Best way to celebrate a 4-year contract extension? For Philip Rivers, it's by grabbing a @dominos pizza.

The Chargers locked up Philip Rivers to an $84 million contract extension to keep him in San Diego for the forseeable future and presumably making the Chargers the only team Rivers plays for.
In his press conference after the new deal was announced, Rivers was asked how he celebrated. Perhaps predictably, there wasn’t much in the way of fanfare. However, Rivers did mention that he picked up a pizza from Domino’s on his way home. What was on the pizza, you might be wondering? Pepperoni, jalapenos, and black olives were the five-time Pro Bowl quarterback’s toppings of choice. I’m not a big fan of olives, but I can get behind the pepperoni and jalapenos.
Domino’s, not surprisingly, capitalized on the opportunity and joked they may have a job for Rivers when his new contract expires.
Great topping combo, Philip. Wanna come work for us in like 4 years? https://t.co/65jmjDyfc9

The Chargers, though, pointed out if the pizza company is going to get Rivers it wouldn’t be after four years.
@dominos Hold up ✋. Philip is under contract for FIVE more years.

Chargers fans can breathe a little easier now.
