Even before he finished his carpentry apprenticeship, Thomas Walser was already creating his own furniture. “I realised early on that a big company that mostly makes off-the-peg products just wasn’t my thing. But my love of exquisite woods in combination with other materials and a slightly unusual design kept growing, so in 2012 I decided to set up my own business,” explains Thomas Walser who, at 26 years old, is probably the youngest managing director of any company featured here. Young, but by no means inexperienced. Every single piece of furniture is developed on the basis of the customer’s needs. Thomas Walser gets the inspiration for his initial sketches from studying the space and the interior setting the new item is intended for.
