Even before he finished his carpentry apprenticeship, Thomas Walser was already creating his own furniture. “I realised early on that a big company that mostly makes off-the-peg products just wasn’t my thing. But my love of exquisite woods in combination with other materials and a slightly unusual design kept growing, so in 2012 I decided to set up my own business,” explains Thomas Walser who, at 26 years old, is probably the youngest managing director of any company featured here.
