The story of Dutch hotel Parc Broekhuizen goes back to the 15th century. However, today’s decoration is inspired from the Louis XVI style especially popular in the late 17th century and carefully rebuild from well-preserved old photographs of ceilings, panelling, ornaments, sculptures and impressive murals painted on the walls in the grand lounge. The scene is set for a sensuous hotel stay as interior architect Judith Van Mourik has incorporated the historical feeling in every single detail of the décor, always keeping in mind the estate’s history, its monumental buildings and the gorgeous play of light inside. Classic oak and brass elements are combined with modern designer furniture and decorations as well as natural materials like marble.
